​Patrick Hoagland had been laid off a month when he decided to think out of the box and panhandle his resume on a street corner in Phoenix, Arizona. He had a wife and child he needed to support and he was motivated. He passed out many resumes over a few days, one was to a women named Melissa Digianfilippo, Partner and Vice President of Serendipit Consulting of Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Digianfilippo was impressed by Mr. Hoagland's efforts and posted the story on her facebook page and as she said it "blew up". 

One person who saw it was Kerry Burkart, Partner of Flatline Concrete of Phoenix. Ms. Burkhart interviewed Mr. Hoagland and hired  him. Mr. Hoagland said that Ms. Burkhart has a wonderful company and he's happy and thankful to be a part of that great company. 

This is a story about three Kind acts carried out by three People. First, Patrick Hoagland, who made the kind effort for his family passed out his resume in 100 plus degree temperature on a Phoenix street corner.  Second, was Melissa Digianfilippo of Seredipit Consulting, who was impressed by that act and took the resume and posted it on her facebook page. Third was Kerry Burkhart of Flatline Concrete who took the time to contact Mr. Hoagland, interview him and then hire him.

Normally, Kindness Pays rewards program recognizes and reports an Act of Kindness for one person's act of Kindness, but in looking at this story we find all three engaged in individual acts of kindness. Therefore, Kindness Pays Rewards will recognized all three for their individual kind acts and will be sending out a letter of accommodation, some kind cards, a kindness T-Shirt and a check. Each was responsible for making their small part of the world that day a little better place.
